     Cynthia Kight is a native of Roanoke Virginia.  She attended Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Piano. 

     She later received a Master of Science degree in Music Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, prior to moving to Florida to begin her career in teaching.

     After 31 years, Mrs. Kight retired from Polk County schools; most recently serving as an Arts Facilitator, Keyboard Instructor, and Staff Accompanist at Rochelle School of the Arts. 

     She has accompanied numerous All County, FMEA, and ACDA choral performances, and is currently the accompanist for the Florida Southern Girls’ Choir.

     In 2017, she became the Plant City Community Chorale’s accompanist. 

     Mrs. Kight lives in Lakeland, Florida, and enjoys frequent visits with her five children.     piano t-shirt
