Betty Chester is a graduate of the University of South Florida where she received a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance and in Music Education (K-12). After teaching in public schools a few years, she opened her own piano teaching studio in Plant City and now teaches piano to  students of all levels at her home studio in Brandon. She has accompanied and/or directed choirs and musical theatre productions for too many years to count!

She is currently the Music Director/Organist and Interim Choir and Handbell Director at Christ Our Redeemer ELCA in Temple Terrace. She is a very active member of Mid-State Music Teachers Association and has served as District President in the Florida State Music Teachers Association in which she is a Certified Teacher of Piano with Experience and is an Adjudicator. She has served as the Adjunct Organ Instructor at Blake High School in the Performing Arts Magnet Program in Tampa.


She has two grown sons, Justin and Kenny, and is married to Allen Chester.
